To qualify, you must own the property where the heat pump will be installed, and if the home is rented, the owner must apply. Eligible homes include existing detached, semi-detached, townhomes, row houses and mobile homes. You must be an Enbridge Gas customer primarily heating with natural gas, or be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and use electricity or propane as the main heating source. The heat pump must be a qualifying cold climate model listed with Natural Resources Canada and installed by an approved contractor according to program standards.
