How to Qualify
To qualify for this rebate, you must own the home where the cold climate air source heat pump will be installed. If the property has tenants, the owner must submit the application. Eligible home types include detached and semi-detached homes, townhomes, row houses and mobile homes on a permanent foundation, and the home must not be a new build. You must either be an Enbridge Gas residential customer with an active account and primarily heat the home with a natural gas furnace or boiler, or be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and use electricity or propane as the primary heating source. The equipment installed must be a qualifying cold climate air source heat pump listed on Natural Resources Canada’s qualified products list, and installation must be completed by an approved contractor following program standards and documentation requirements outlined in the official Terms and Conditions.
Approval Timeline
Aire One West will begin the process by submitting your application for pre-installation approval. This step is required before any work takes place and typically takes five to seven business days to be reviewed by the program administrator. Homeowners must wait for official pre-approval before installation can proceed, and timelines are controlled by the program administrator, not Aire One West. Once approval is received, installation is scheduled and completed, after which Aire One submits the final post-installation documentation for rebate processing. Homeowners can expect to receive their rebate by cheque within approximately 60 days or less from the time the final submission is accepted.
